Saturday 13th April  – Windsurf **** The Manor at Felixstowe  –   Sunny periods and mild.

Foil – 17.70 knot max , 16.33 knot ave, 12.38  knot hour, 14.82 knot mile, 40.58 km., 13.53 knot alpha.

Starboard Freeride 150 and a Evolution Freeride foil with a Tushingham Storm 6.5.

After yesterday mild 20 mile windsurf foil at The Manor end inn Felixstowe it was more of the same today, with the wind there early I headed down to Squiz Lane arriving around 9.30 as I thought I might have a problem parking being the weekend, despite two camper vans being there I got in easily. Things looked good, sunny with the sea fairly smooth and looked ideal for 6.5 which it was:) On the water for ten I Had several runs out to Wadgate where I found a lovely patch to gybe in lovely flat water. At times the wind was the minimum required for my 6.5 and I had to pump up a few times but I had it all to myself until around midday when a couple of fin sailors headed out! As it was marginal for the 6.5 I didn’t risk heading downwind too far although I did have a long 2.50 mile run out to sea ending up down by the pier. I had an easy beat back and was getting tired so after one more run out to Wadgate I decided to call it a day, so 45 miles covered in two sessions on the foil so not too bad. Home for lunch I found Mag painting window sills, she loves a bit of DIY, she then headed up the town giving me time to do my exercises in the sunny back garden, looks like things are cooling off for a few days now!
