Welcome to the 2025 Irish Speed Foil Rally, the official IWA (Irish Windsurfing Association) speed foil event which will crown the fastest foiler in Irish waters each year.

The event runs from the 1st of January 2025 to the 31st of December 2025.

The rules of the event are simple. Simply record your speed using your favourite GPS (see https://www.gps-speedsurfing.com/default.aspx?mnu=item&item=GPSInfo for more info on the recomended devices) and upload your sessions on http://www.gps-speedsurfing.com 

Every session in Irish water counts for the Irish ranking (Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland). But you must first subscribe to the event. You can also add your existing sessions by editing your sessions (under my' sessions/ admin sessions') and then selecting the 'Irish Speed Masters' under 'event name'.

The average speed that is used for the ranking is measured over 250m in 2025. One single run of 250m is enough to make it count which means that you can compete from pretty much any spot around the coast of Ireland.

We will share information and news on the Irish Speed Sailing Championship Facebook page (thanks to the fin community for sharing their love of speed with us!).  Any questions regarding the speed foil compeition, seeking advice etc.. please lean into the group.

Speed enthusiasts of all ages and abilities are welcome. 

Competitors can use any equipment they want as long as its a production registered sail, board and foil.
